Her poems be wild: like a forest fire without the intent to devastate, but to draw attention to natural order, love, and light. Sometimes polite, she writes, and other times she share stories untold, in bold.
Bird Nefertiti is a poet, blogger, hostess, motivational speaker and graduate student. She has been writing poetry since her senior year of high school, but has grown closer to the gift over time. Since the release of her first spoken word album, she has had the honor of sharing her work as a featured poet in various locations throughout the East Coast. . In addition to blogging, speaking, and building her career as a writer, she attends North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She is currently enrolled in the Masters of Arts program studying English and African American Literature. Her research focuses are African American Women writers and with an immediate focus on black women and spirituality.
